Mr. Adams represents clients in complex litigation at the trial and appellate level, with a particular focus on matters arising out of government and criminal investigations. Prior to joining the firm, Adams spent several years in the federal government, serving in both the Executive and the Judicial branches. Adams is a former Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. He also worked in the White House as an Associate Counsel to the President of the United States, where he represented the Office of the President in congressional investigations and other sensitive matters. Adams was also a clerk to the Hon. Clarence Thomas, Associate Justice for the United States Supreme Court, and the Hon. David Sentelle on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
